Lucia saffron buns is a traditional swedish sweet that is very simular to a teacake. It´s useally made and eaten during December 13th when we celebrate the Italian saint Lucia and December 24th when we celebrate chrismas. The taste that specifies saffron buns is a spice called saffron. It´s very expensive and costs approximately 15000 kronor per kilo.
A thing that is very common to put in the saffron buns is a fruit called raisin. Raisins is basically dry grapes. I personaly prefer my buns without raisins.
